Love...hate
So here's the thing...I haven't finished a project in a while. Hoodwinked is oh so close to being done. I removed the wrong zipper and sewed on half of the new separating zipper. Now it's just waiting for the second half. One lousy half of a zipper and still it sits. And my honeymoon cami...I'm approximately halfway up from the bottom. I should just finish it. I can't see it taking me more than a few nights. A week tops. But I think my problem there is that I'm not thrilled with the results using the yarn I chose for it. And then, while I was on vacation I started another...Isis from a few Interweaves back. My first lace project. So far I love it...when I'm not hating it. The pattern, the color, the yarn...all perfect. But I've screwed it up a million times already. I ripped out and restarted twice. Then I found one stupid mistake 2 rows back that, of course, messed up the rest, so I unknitted the two rows. And then just last night I found another problem. One whole wrong row. But it's easily 5 or 6 rows back. I unknitted two last night and I'm taking tonight off. But I still have 3 or 4 more rows to unknit. If there's an easier way, please, someone let me know. I can't just rip a couple rows, because again, it's lace, so there are lots of yarnovers, lots of slipping, knitting together...I think ripping it will lose some of my stitches. Oh, but what do I know. So anyway, my lack of knitting content lately is mostly due to frustration. I'll get back on track one of these days. Photos of works in progress, a finished item or two...it will happen.

Lace can be such a pain! For years I didn't knit lace because one mistake can set you back hours. It still happens to me, but the mistakes come less frequently with more and more lace knitting. Good luck!
Uggh...you mean the only way to stop making these stupid mistakes is to PRACTICE?
